Terms of Service

1. Description of the service

unfollowtheleader is a leadership-development SaaS platform offering, among other things: leadership self-assessments, AI-assisted conversational coaching (Lumia), practice content (playbooks, ShiftCards), project spaces, and team and organisation features for B2B plans.

The service is accessed online through a browser. We strive to keep it continuously available but cannot guarantee it (see the Liability section).

2. Account and registration

The service is intended for professional use and reserved for adults. When creating your account, you agree to provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for any activity carried out through your account. If you become aware of unauthorised use of your account, notify us without delay at fmeleard@gmail.com.

3. Acceptable use

When using unfollowtheleader, you agree not to:

• Use the service for unlawful purposes or in breach of these Terms;
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, to other users' accounts or to other organisations' data;
• Disrupt the operation of the service, circumvent its technical or usage limits, or perform bulk automated extraction of its content;
• Use the AI coach to generate unlawful or hateful content, or content infringing third-party rights;
• Upload to your projects content for which you do not hold the necessary rights or which would breach the confidentiality of third parties.

We reserve the right to suspend or restrict access to the service in the event of a breach of these rules.

4. Disclaimer: AI-assisted coaching

unfollowtheleader is a professional-development tool. The coaching it provides, including exchanges with the AI coach, does not in any way constitute psychotherapy, medical, psychological, legal or financial advice, or any form of regulated professional advice.

Responses generated by artificial intelligence may be incomplete or inaccurate. You remain solely responsible for the decisions you make based on the service's content.

If you are experiencing psychological distress, please reach out to a qualified healthcare professional or an emergency service.

5. Intellectual property

The platform, unfollowtheleader method and its content (including playbooks, ShiftCards, questionnaires and brand elements) are the property of Become Luminous or its licensors. Your subscription grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its duration.

You retain all rights to the content you submit to the service (messages, files, assessment answers). You grant us only the licence necessary to host, process and display that content for the purpose of providing the service.

6. Plans and subscriptions

unfollowtheleader offers a free plan, a premium plan, and B2B plans for organisations (with seats and teams managed by the client organisation).

The features and pricing of each plan are specified at the time of subscription. We may change plans and pricing; any change affecting a current subscription will be notified to you with reasonable notice.

When your account is attached to a client organisation, that organisation's administrator may manage your seat (assignment, revocation) in accordance with the agreement entered into with it.

7. Liability

The service is provided “as is”. We do not warrant that it will be error-free or available without interruption, in particular during maintenance or in the event of a failure of our providers.

To the extent permitted by law, Become Luminous's liability in connection with the service is limited to direct and foreseeable damages and capped at the amounts you actually paid during the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

The managerial, professional or personal decisions you make based on the service's content are your sole responsibility.

8. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from your Settings. Deleting your account results in the erasure of your data as described in our privacy policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access in the event of a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, with prior notice where circumstances allow.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by French law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance falls within the jurisdiction of the competent French courts, subject to applicable mandatory provisions, including, for consumers, the option of consumer mediation.
